Welcome to our home!
We have been in our home for almost thirty years. In those years I have been developing my design style. One of my first attempts at decorating was an apple border in my kitchen with apple accessories (cookie jar, salt and pepper shakers etc.) I look back and think did I really like that design choice and I say yes! Every day I saw my apple border it made me happy. I eventually moved on but each time I changed it was me growing, learning and finding my design style.
When my mother-in-law moved in, we needed to add a first-floor laundry. I was so excited because I got to design the laundry room. I was able to fit a ton of storage along with an antique utility sink that I had always wanted.

Kitchen
I always wanted a fireplace in our living room, but putting one in was cost prohibited. So, when my sister-in-law was getting rid of her faux fireplace, I put it in the trunk of my car which really did not fit and drove 200 plus miles home. It was really too small for the space, but I still remember hanging our stockings the first year and beaming with joy.
We have since had a faux fireplace built with shelving and wainscotting on the lower half of the walls in the room. My husband added stone to the fireplace to finish the look. It has made the room one of the coziest in our house.
Living Room
